Fluorescence & Labeling

Chromeo™ Dyes

effective fluorescent labels for bioanalysis

Chromeo™ Dyes – Chromeo 488, Chromeo 494, Chromeo 546 and Chromeo 642 – exhibit superior luminescence properties, broad Stokes shifts, stability towards photobleaching and pH, and low cell toxicity. In addition, they are compatible with most excitation sources including diode lasers, LEDs, tungsten lamps and xenon arc lamps. For your labeling convenience, Chromeo Dyes are offered in a variety of chemistries.

Chromeo™ Dye advantages

  • Unmatched photostability – enables multiple exposures and increased exposure time
  • Room temperature incubations
  • pH insensitive
  • Low background
  • Easy to use – no harsh chemicals required for conjugation
  • Available as reactive NHS-Esters to label amino groups, or as carboxylic acids

Chromeo Dyes are typically used to label biomolecules covalently in a chemical reaction. The Chromeo dyes are available in a variety of different formats: as amine-reactive NHS-esters, which are useful to label amino groups on peptides, proteins or amino-modified DNA, as carboxylic acids and as conjugates to biotin, streptavidin & secondary antibodies. For the utmost in convenience, complete, optimized antibody/protein labeling kits are also available.
