Cell Extracts

Active Motif offers high-quality nuclear, cytoplasmic and whole-cell extracts from a variety of cell types and tissue sources. Many of our extracts are prepared from cells that have been treated to specifically induce activation of hard-to-detect transcription factors. Our ready-to-use extracts are ideal for use as positive controls in a variety of applications, including TransAM™, gelshift and supershift assays, Western blots, as well as a starting point for transcription factor purification. Each extract has a lot-specific Technical Data Sheet that is available for download.

 Use the search engine below to find the extracts you need. You can search one term at a time or search by Catalog Number. For example, search "HeLa" to find all HeLa extracts, or search "TPA" to find all extracts that were stimulated by TPA. Clicking on a column heading will sort the results by that column.

If you don't know which extract you need, leave the Search Term empty and use the pull-down menus below to select the antibody for which you need a positive control. This will generate a list of all extracts that are positive for that particular antibody by EMSA and/or Western. For example, selecting "c-Jun" under the EMSA list and then clicking Search will generate a list of all extracts known to be positive for c-Jun in EMSA.
