The EpiShear™ Thermoelectric Chiller is an ultra-compact temperature control system that keeps the samples cold when performing sonication with Active Motif's EpiShear Multi-Sample Sonicator. Despite its small size and quiet operation, the unit is capable of precisely maintaining the temperature in the water bath at your chosen set point, typically ~3-4°C for sonication. The unit is capable of both cooling and heating, and can recirculate 500 ml of water per minute throughout a 2-45°C range (±0.1°C). (As the EpiShear Multi-Sample Sonicator is driven by a 750-watt generator that generates a substantial amount of heat, use of a chiller is imperative for best results.)

The Thermoelectric Chiller is supplied with a recirculating chiller unit, a universal AC/DC power supply, an AC power supply cord and a set of inlet, outlet and drain tubes with quick-connect fittings, which make it easy to attach the chiller to the Multi-Sample Sonicator or other units that have 1/8"-inch, quick-connect fittings. The chiller is backed by a one-year warranty.
The Thermoelectric Chiller contains a universal AC/DC power supply that accepts an input of 100-240 volts AC. Each chiller will be shipped with an appropriate AC power supply cable designed to fit the receptacles of the different wall outlets in the US, Europe or The United Kingdom.
