Application Notes:
Recombinant human active IκBα (amino acids 1-317) is produced in
E. coli with an amino terminal polyhistidine tag and purified via sequential chromatography to >95%. Recombinant IκBα is phosphorylatable
in vitro using either recombinant active IKKα or IKKβ or IKK immunoprecipitated from stimulated cells.
Protein Usage:
Recombinant IκBα is suitable for Western blotting and ELISAs. The molecular weight of IκBα is ~36 kDa.
NOTE: The presence of Poly [d(I-C)] in buffers may affect protein functionality and should be avoided.
Storage:
Some proteins are supplied lyophilized and some are supplied in solution. Lyophilized proteins can be stored at 4°C, preferably desiccated. Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
