Contents:
5 µg of Recombinant c-Myc protein and Dilution Buffer AM1 (20 mM Tris-Cl (pH 8), 20% glycerol, 100 mM (NH4)2SO4, 2 mM DTT and 0.5 mM EDTA). Protein is supplied at 0.5 µg/µl in Dilution Buffer AM1.
Application Notes:
Recombinant c-Myc was expressed in a bacterial system (accession number NM 002467) with an amino terminal polyhistidine tag and purified by an affinity column in combination with FPLC chromatography. The purified recombinant protein is greater than 75% homogeneous and contains no detectable protease, DNase and RNase activity.
Protein Usage:
Recombinant c-Myc protein is suitable for DNA and protein-protein interaction assays. 100 ng are sufficient for DNA-protein and protein-protein interaction studies. The standard curve for TransAM™ c-Myc was generated using the range of 5-0.625 ng of protein. The molecular weight of the protein is ~64 kDa.
NOTE: The presence of Poly [d(I-C)] in buffers may affect protein functionality and should be avoided.

The standard curve for TransAM™ was generated using a range of 5-0.625 ng of protein and run on the TransAM™ c-Myc ELISA Kit.
Storage:
Some proteins are supplied lyophilized and some are supplied in solution. Lyophilized proteins can be stored at 4°C, preferably desiccated. Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
