10 µg of Recombinant Rad51 protein and Dilution Buffer AM1 (20 mM Tris-Cl (pH 8), 20% glycerol, 100 mM KCl, 1 mM DTT and 0.2 mM EDTA). Protein is supplied at 0.5 µg/µl in Dilution Buffer AM1.
Protein Details:
Recombinant Rad51 protein was expressed in a strain of
E. coli (accession number NM 002875) with an amino terminal polyhistidine tag and purified by an affinity column in combination with FPLC chromatography. The purified recombinant protein is greater than 95% homogeneous and contains no detectable protease, DNase and RNase activity.
Protein Applications:
Recombinant Rad51 is suitable for DNA-protein and protein-protein interaction assays. 20 ng is sufficient for DNA-protein assays and 100 ng is sufficient for protein-protein interaction studies. The molecular weight of the protein is ~40 kDa.
NOTE: The presence of Poly [d(I-C)] in buffers may affect protein functionality and should be avoided.
Storage:
Lyophilized proteins can be stored at -20°C or -80°C, preferably desiccated. Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
