50 µg of Recombinant ATF-2 protein. Protein is supplied lyophilized.
Application Notes:
Recombinant human active ATF-2 (amino acids 19 to 96) is produced in
E. coli as a GST fusion protein and purified via sequential chromatography to > 95%. Recombinant ATF-2 is phosphorylatable in vitro, using either recombinant active JNK1 or JNK2, or with immunoprecipitated JNK from stimulated cells.
Protein Usage:
Recombinant ATF-2 is suitable for Western blotting. The molecular weight of ATF-2 is ~35 kDa. This protein is not recommended for use in TransAM™.
NOTE: The presence of Poly [d(I-C)] in buffers may affect protein functionality and should be avoided.
Storage:
Some proteins are supplied lyophilized and some are supplied in solution. Lyophilized proteins can be stored at 4°C, preferably desiccated. Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
