Contents:
50 µg of Recombinant CREB protein. Protein is supplied lyophilized.
Application Notes:
Recombinant human active CREB (amino acids 1-327) is produced in
E. coli as a maltose binding protein (MBP) fusion protein with an amino terminal polyhistidine tag and purified via sequential chromatography to >95%. Recombinant CREB is phosphorylatable
in vitro using either recombinant Protein Kinase A or Rsk immunoprecipitated from stimulated cells.
Protein Usage:
Recombinant CREB is suitable for use in Western blotting and TransAM™ assays. The standard curve for TransAM™ CREB was generated using the range of 40-10 ng of protein. The molecular weight of CREB is ~81 kDa.
NOTE: The presence of Poly [d(I-C)] in buffers may affect protein functionality and should be avoided.

The standard curve for TransAM™ was generated using a range of 40-10 ng of protein and run on the TransAM™ CREB ELISA Kit.
Storage:
Some proteins are supplied lyophilized and some are supplied in solution. Lyophilized proteins can be stored at 4°C, preferably desiccated. Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
