for C2C12 nuclear extract (Undifferentiated)Contents
200 µg of C2C12 (Undifferentiated) nuclear extract at 5.7 µg/µl.
for C2C12 nuclear extract (Undifferentiated)Background
C2C12 nuclear extract was prepared from subconfluent undifferentiated cell cultures of the mouse myoblast C2C12 cell line. Under certain conditions, such as androgen stimulation, these fibroblast cells can differentiate to a skeletal muscle phenotype, forming contractile myotubes and expressing characteristic skeletal muscle proteins. When treated with bone morphogenic protein 2 (BMP-2), these cells shift differentiation pathways from myoblastic to osteoblastic and are useful in studies examining BMP-mediated Smad signaling. Due to their differentiative potential, these cells are commonly used as cell models to study skeletal muscle and bone differentiation. In addition, these cells express TGFβ receptors and are also commonly used in studies related to the TGF-β signaling pathway.
for C2C12 nuclear extract (Undifferentiated)Application Notes
C2C12 nuclear extract is specifically recommended for analysis of 1) myoblast differentiation, 2) osteoblast differentiation, and 3) TGFβ signaling cascades.

for C2C12 nuclear extract (Undifferentiated)Extract Composition
C2C12 nuclear extract (Undifferentiated) is supplied in Dilution Buffer (20 mM Hepes (pH 7.9), 100 mM KCl, 1 mM MgCl2, 20% glycerol, 0.5 mM PMSF and 0.5 mM DTT).
for C2C12 nuclear extract (Undifferentiated)Quality Control
Extracts have been quality control tested by Western blot and the Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay (EMSA).
for C2C12 nuclear extract (Undifferentiated)Storage
To ensure stability, extracts should be stored at -80°C.
We recommend aliquoting the extracts into single-use fractions and then storing them at -80°C. This eliminates repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
