CCRF-CEM nuclear extract was prepared from cell cultures of the human T lymphoblast-like CCRF-CEM cell line. The CCRF-CEM cell line was originally derived from the isolation and continuous propagation of a line of lymphoblasts of peripheral buffy coat cells from the blood of a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. These cells are used in cancer research as a cell model for adult leukemia and Burkitt's lymphoma.
