200 µg of HT-29 nuclear extract at 5.6 µg/µl.
for HT-29 nuclear extractBackground
HT-29 nuclear extract was prepared from a cell culture of the human colorectal adenocarcinoma HT-29 cell line. The HT-29 cell line was originally derived from intestinal tumor tissue obtained from a 44 year old Caucasian female patient with colorectal adenocarcinoma. HT-29 cells are morphologically epithelial, are CD4 negative, and produce carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and immunoglobulin A (IgA). This cell line contains a mutation in codon 273 of the p53 gene that results in an Arg>His substitution. In the absence of carbohydrates, HT-29 cells differentiate into polarized epithelium and, therefore, have been used as in vitro model systems to study epithelial differentiation. However, the HT-29 cell line is most commonly used in research as a model for colorectal cancer in studies related to growth and tumorigenicity.
for HT-29 nuclear extractApplication Notes
HT-29 nuclear extract is recommended for use in studies related to colorectal cancer and epithelial differentiation.
for HT-29 nuclear extractExtract Origin
Human epithelial colon; colorectal adenocarcinoma
for HT-29 nuclear extractExtract Composition
HT-29 nuclear extract is supplied in Dilution Buffer (20 mM Hepes (pH 7.9), 100 mM KCl, 1 mM MgCl2, 20% glycerol, 0.5 mM PMSF and 0.5 mM DTT).
for HT-29 nuclear extractQuality Control
Extracts have been quality control tested by Western blot and the Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay (EMSA).
for HT-29 nuclear extractStorage
To ensure stability, extracts should be stored at -80°C.
We recommend aliquoting the extracts into single-use fractions and then storing them at -80°C. This eliminates repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
