for AML-1/Runx1 antibody (pAb)Background
AML-1 (acute myeloid leukemia 1, Runx1, CBFA2, PEBP2αB) is a transcription factor (activator) for various hematopoietic-specific genes (for example, GM-CSF, CSF1R and TCRb). AML-1 forms a heterodimeric DNA binding complex with its partner protein CBFβ and regulates the expression of cellular genes by binding to promoter and enhancer elements. AML-1 is believed to be involved in the development of normal hematopoiesis and is commonly translocated in hematopoietic cancers.
for AML-1/Runx1 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This AML-1/Runx1 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 231-245 of human AML-1/Runx1.
for AML-1/Runx1 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This AML-1/Runx1 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed overnight at 4°C. Individual optimization may be required.
for AML-1/Runx1 antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.2% gelatin, 0.01% thimersol and 0.1% sodium azide. Thimersol and sodium azide are highly toxic.
for AML-1/Runx1 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's Jurkat nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36014) can be used as a positive control for AML-1/Runx1 antibody.
AML-1/Runx1 antibody tested by Western blot.
Detection of AML-1/Runx1 by Western blot analysis. Positive detection of AML-1/Runx1 in nuclear extracts derived from Jurkat cells at 1:500 (lane 1) and 1:1,000 (lane 2) dilutions.
for AML-1/Runx1 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
