for GATA-1 antibody (pAb)Background
GATA-1 (also designated Globin transcription factor 1, GATA binding protein 1 and GATA1) is a member of the GATA Family of transcription factors. GATA-1 is involved in erythroid development by regulating the switch of fetal hemoglobin to adult hemoglobin.
for GATA-1 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This GATA-1 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 66-78 of human GATA-1.
for GATA-1 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This GATA-1 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:1,000 dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed overnight at 4°C. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
This antibody has also been validated in chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP). See reference for details.
for GATA-1 antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.2% gelatin, 0.01% thimersol and 0.1% sodium azide.
for GATA-1 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's K-562 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36015) can be used as a positive control for GATA-1 antibody.
Chromatin IP Assays
Active Motif has a variety of Chromatin Immunoprecipitation Kits for every need.
Please visit our Chromatin IP Page to learn about ChIP products designed for use with GATA-1 antibody (pAb).
for GATA-1 antibody (pAb)References
The use of this antibody is described in the following reference:

for GATA-1 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
