Background:
Hbo1 (HAT binding to ORC1) is MYST-family histone acetyltransferase that interacts with several proteins that regulate DNA replication including ORC1 and Mcm2. Hbo1 possesses HAT activity and is may participate in events controlling the initiation of replication.
Immunogen:
This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide containing amino acids 158-172 of human Hbo1.
Buffer:
Rabbit serum containing 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide.
Application Notes:
This product has been tested by Western blotting (1:500 - 1:2000). Hbo1 is chromatin-associated and can be detected by WB in whole-cell extracts or in the chromatin fraction of a nuclear extract. Overnight incubation with this antibody recommended for western blotting.
Whole-cell extract of HeLa cells (15 µg per lane) probed with Catalog No. 39105 (1:500 dilution).
