for CGBP antibody (pAb)Background
CGBP (CpG binding protein) is a transcriptional activator protein that binds unmethylated CpG dinucleotides and plays a role in regulating gene expression and embryonic development. CGBP exhibits a different distribution pattern than other heterochromatin-associated proteins. It seems to co-localize with acetylated histones, indicating that CGBP is associated with active chromatin.
for CGBP antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This CGBP antibody was raised against a mixture of synthetic peptides corresponding to amino acid residues 73-90 and 641-656 of human CGBP.
for CGBP antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This CGBP antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for CGBP antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for CGBP antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's Human Spleen nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36046) can be used as a positive control for CGBP antibody.
CGBP pAb tested by Western blot.
Detection of CGBP by Western blot analysis. Western blot analysis using CGBP pAb at a 1:1,000 dilution against 15 µg/lane of human spleen lysate.
for CGBP antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
