for AML-2/Runx3 antibody (pAb)Background
AML-2 (acute myeloid leukemia 2 protein) also known as Runx3 (Runt-related transcription factor 3) is a member of the DNA binding alpha subunit of the heterodimeric transcription factor complex PEBP2/CBF. AML-2 can either activate or repress transcription, and it also interacts with other transcription factors. AML-2 expression is regulated by AML-1/Runx1.
for AML-2/Runx3 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This AML-2 antibody was raised against a full-length protein corresponding to human AML-2/Runx3.
for AML-2/Runx3 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This AML-2 antibody (RUNX3) has been validated for use in Western blot (1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution) and electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSA). We recommend adding 4-6 µl of antibody to the reaction mixture when performing supershift experiments. We also recommend the use of Tris-glycine electrophoresis buffer. For Western blot experiments, a 44 kDa band should be detected. For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for AML-2/Runx3 antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.2% gelatin, 0.01% thimersol and 0.1% sodium azide.
for AML-2/Runx3 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's Raji nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36023) can be used as a positive control for AML-2/Runx3 antibody.
for AML-2/Runx3 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
