for CHD2 antibody (pAb)Background
CHD (Chromo-ATPase/Helicase-DNA-binding) proteins, which are ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling factors implicated in RNA polymerase II transcriptional regulation, are characterized by the presence of a double chromodomains (Chromatin Organization Modifier) and SNF2-related helicase/ATPase domains. The CHD1/CHD2 sub-family of CHD proteins also contain a C-terminal DNA binding domain that recognizes AT-rich sequences. CHD proteins alter gene expression possibly by modification of chromatin structure thus altering access of the transcriptional apparatus to its chromosomal DNA template. CHD2 is required for normal development of mouse embryos.
for CHD2 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This CHD2 antibody (pAb) was raised against a peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human CHD2.
for CHD2 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This CHD2 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:100 - 1:500 dilution). The addition of 0.1% Tween-20 in all blocking solutions may reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for CHD2 antibody (pAb)Buffer
Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris (pH 8), 105 mM NaCl, 31 mM glycine, 0.07 mM EDTA, 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide.
for CHD2 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's 293 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36033) can be used as a positive control for CHD2 antibody.
CHD2 pAb tested by Western blot.
Detection of CHD2 by Western blot analysis. Nuclear extract of HEK293 cells (25 µg) was probed with CHD2 pAb at a 1:250 dilution.
for CHD2 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -20°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
