Immunogen
This IRF-3 antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to residues 306-312 of human IRF-3.
Buffer
Rabbit serum containing 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
IRF-3 pAb tested by Western blot.
Detection of IRF-3 by Western blot analysis. The presence of IRF-3 in nuclear extracts derived from U-937 (IFNγ) cells is confirmed using IRF-3 rabbit polyclonal antibody at a 1:1,000 dilution.
Background
IRF-3 (Interferon regulatory factor 3 or IRF3) is a member of the IRF family of transcription factors that include IRF-1, IRF-6 and IRF-7. IRF-3 that has been phosphorylated at serine/threonine forms a complex with CREBBP and translocates to the nucleus to activate transcription of interferon-induced genes.
Positive Control
U-937 nuclear extract (IFN-gamma treated) can be used as a positive control for IRF-3 antibody.
