for CID antibody (pAb)Background
CID (Centromer Identifier) is the Drosophila histone H3 variant which replaces canonical H3 in centromeric chromatin at the inner plate of the kinetochore (similar to mammalian CENP-A). CID is required for recruitment and assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. It may serve as an epigenetic mark that propagates centromere identity through DNA replication and cell division.
for CID antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This antibody was raised against recombinant CID protein from Drosophila melanogaster.
for CID antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This antibody has been validated for use in immunofluorescence (1:500 dilution). For an antibody against CID that works in Western blotting, use Catalog No. 39713.
for CID antibody (pAb)Buffer
Rabbit serum containing 30% glycerol, 0.035% sodium azide
Compatible Secondary Antibodies
Active Motif has developed a variety of high-quality secondary antibodies for most applications, with anti-rabbit and anti-mouse conjugates to a broad line of high-quality fluorescent molecules, as well as horse radish peroxidase (HRP). Visit our Secondary Antibody Conjugates page to find the perfect secondaries for immunofluorescence experiments with CID antibody (pAb).
