for HOXA9 antibody (pAb)Background
HOXA9 (Homeobox protein A9, HOX1G) is a sequence-specific DNA binding transcription factor with a central role in both hematopoiesis and leukemia. HOXA9 is required for normal hematopoiesis and contributes to myeloid blood cell differentiation. High levels of HOXA9 expression in hematopoietic cells is a characteristic feature of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and may contribute to the development of this disease. Overexpression of HOXA9 markedly expands hematopoietic stem cells.
for HOXA9 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This HOXA9 antibody was raised against a peptide within the N-terminal region of human HOXA9.
for HOXA9 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This HOXA9 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:500 - 1:2,000 dilution).
Addition of 0.05% Tween-20 in blocking buffer and primary antibody incubation buffer is recommended to aid in detection by Western blot.
for HOXA9 antibody (pAb)Buffer
Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris (pH 8), 105 mM NaCl, 32 mM glycine, 0.07 mM EDTA, 30% glycerol, and 0.035% sodium azide.
for HOXA9 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's HeLa nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36015) can be used as a positive control for HOXA9 antibody.
HOXA9 antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot.
K562 nuclear extract (20 µg per lane) probed with HOXA9 antibody at a dilution of 1:1,000.
for HOXA9 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -20°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
