Retinoic acid receptors (RAR) are nuclear receptors that are activated by both all-trans retinoic acid and 9-cis retinoic acid. There are three retinoic acid receptors (RAR), RAR-α, RAR-β and RAR-γ. RAR-α (Nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group B member 1, NR1B1) interacts with NCoA3, NCoA6, NCoA7 and MLL to activate transcription of target genes. Chromosomal aberrations of RAR-α are sometimes involved in Promyelocytic leukemia.

Bridging Antibody to Improve ChIP, MeDIP and IP

Some isotypes of mouse IgG antibodies do not bind well to protein G-conjugated agarose/magnetic beads, which are commonly used in ChIP, MeDIP and IP experiments. Capture efficiency can be improved by including an anti-mouse IgG bridging antibody because it binds with a strong affinity to both the protein G beads and the mouse IgG antibody. By increasing the affinity of the mouse primary antibody for the protein G bead, the Bridging Antibody for Mouse IgG can help improve the results of all ChIP, MeDIP and IP experiments that use RAR-α antibody (mAb).
