for AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody (mAb)Background
AKT1 is a serine-threonine protein kinase that is activated by Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) and PI 3-kinase signaling pathways. AKT has been shown to be a critical mediator of survival and apoptosis signaling events. Activation of AKT1 involves (and requires) phosphorylation of serine 473. AKT is also referred to as Protein Kinase B (PKB) and RAC.
for AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody (mAb)Immunogen
This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide containing a phosphorylated serine at amino acid residue 473 of human AKT1.
for AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody (mAb)Application Notes
This AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1 - 2 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required. This AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody is not recommended for use in immunoprecipitation.
for AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody (mAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody (mAb)Positive Control
Extracts fromNIH/3T3 cells treated with PDGF can be used as a positive control for AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody.
AKT1 phospho Ser473 mAb tested by Western blot.
AKT1 (phospho) detection by Western blot analysis. AKT1 phospho Ser473 mAb at 2 µg/ml dilution in untreated (lane 1) and PDGF-treated (lane 2) NIH/3T3 extract.
for AKT1 phospho Ser473 antibody (mAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
