for DRAK2 antibody (pAb)Background
Overexpression of DRAK2 (STK17B or DAP kinase-related apoptosis-inducing protein kinase 2) and ZIP kinase can cause the morphological changes typical of apoptosis in NIH/3T3 cells. Both DRAKs and ZIP kinase share significant homology at the amino acid level. The kinase domains of both DRAKs and ZIP kinase are homologous to DAP (Death-associated protein) kinase, which is involved in the apoptotic signaling induced by interferon-γ. Overexpression of DRAKs in NIH/3T3 cells lead to apoptosis. These experiments also indicate that the C-terminal domain of DRAKs are important for induction of apoptosis.
for DRAK2 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 351-365 of human DRAK2.
for DRAK2 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This DRAK2 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1 - 2 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for DRAK2 antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for DRAK2 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's HeLa whole-cell extract (Catalog No. 40050) can be used as a positive control for DRAK2 antibody.
DRAK2 pAb tested by Western blot.
Detection of DRAK2 by Western blot. The analysis was performed using 30 µg HeLa whole-cell extract and DRAK2 pAb at a 2 µg/ml dilution.
for DRAK2 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
for DRAK2 antibody (pAb)Guarantee
