Caspase-9 (
CASP9 or
apoptosis-related cysteine peptidase 9) (Pro-form) is involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution.
Caspase-9 is processed by caspase APAF1, which is thought to be one of the earliest events in the caspase activation cascade.
Caspase-9 is then involved in processing of
Caspase-3.
Immunogen for Caspase-9 antibody (pAb) (Pro-form):
This antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 299 -318 of human Pro-Caspase-9.
Application Notes for Caspase-9 antibody (pAb) (Pro-form):
This Caspase-9 antibody (Pro-form) has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:1,000 dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
Buffer:
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.

Caspase-9 detection by Western blot. The analysis was performed using 50 µg HeLa whole-cell extract and Caspase-9 pAb (Pro-form) at a 1:1,000 dilution.
