for CREB antibody (mAb)Background
CREB (cAMP response element binding) transcription factor binds as a homodimer to specific DNA sequences called cAMP response elements (CRE) and regulates transcription. CREB belongs to the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. CREB induces transcription in response to hormonal stimulation.
for CREB antibody (mAb)Immunogen
This CREB antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to human CREB.
for CREB antibody (mAb)Application Notes
This CREB antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1 - 2 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for CREB antibody (mAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for CREB antibody (mAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's HeLa whole-cell extract (Catalog No. 40050) can be used as a positive control for CREB antibody.
CREB mAb tested by Western blot.
Detection of CREB by Western blot analysis. A protein band of approximate molecular weight of 43 kDa was detected using HeLa whole-cell extract and CREB mAb at a dilution of 2 µg/ml.
for CREB antibody (mAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
for CREB antibody (mAb)Guarantee
