for ATF-2 antibody (pAb)Background
ATF-2 (activating transcription factor 2) transcription factor is a member of the leucine-zipper family of proteins and was previously known as cAMP responsive element binding protein 2 (or CREB2). ATF 2 is a transcriptional activator that binds the cAMP-responsive element (CRE) and interacts with c-Jun to stimulate CRE transcription. This protein is also capable of acetylating Histone H2B and Histone H4 in vitro as a histone acetyltransferase (HAT).
for ATF-2 antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This ATF-2 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 13-27 of human ATF-2.
for ATF-2 antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This ATF-2 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1 - 2 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for ATF-2 antibody (pAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for ATF-2 antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's 293 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36033) can be used as a positive control for ATF-2 antibody.
ATF-2 pAb tested by Western blot.
ATF-2 detection by Western blot. The analysis was performed using 293 nuclear extract and ATF-2 pAb at a 2 µg/ml dilution.
for ATF-2 antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
