for Rad18 antibody (mAb)Background
Rad18 (RNF73, hHR18) is highly similar to S. cerevisiae DNA damage repair protein Rad18. Yeast Rad18 functions through its interaction with Rad6, which is an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme required for post-replication repair of damaged DNA. Rad18 is similar to its yeast counterpart, as it is able to interact with the human homolog of yeast Rad6 protein through a conserved ring-finger motif.
for Rad18 antibody (mAb)Immunogen
This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 402-414 of human Rad18.
for Rad18 antibody (mAb)Application Notes
This Rad18 antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1 - 2 µg/ml dilution). For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all Blotto solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
for Rad18 antibody (mAb)Buffer
PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
for Rad18 antibody (mAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's HL-60 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36072) can be used as a positive control for Rad18 antibody.
Rad18 mAb tested by Western blot.
Rad18 detection by Western blot. hRad18 mAb was diluted at 2 µg/ml (lane 1) and 1 µg/ml (lane 2) and tested against 10 µg of HL-60 nuclear extract by Western blot. A single band at 60 kDa is detected.
for Rad18 antibody (mAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -80°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
for Rad18 antibody (mAb)Guarantee
