for Goosecoid antibody (pAb)Background
Goosecoid (Gsc) is a homeodomain transcription factor important for vertebrate development and organogenesis. First identified in Xenopus, it is expressed in the area of the Spemann organizer, a region within the embryo that control development and differentiation. Goosecoid regulates cell migration from the Spemann organizer and is overexpressed in a majority of human breast tumors. It is also involved in craniofacial and ribcage development.
for Goosecoid antibody (pAb)Immunogen
This Goosecoid antibody was raised against a peptide in the N-terminal region of human homeobox protein Goosecoid.
for Goosecoid antibody (pAb)Application Notes
This Goosecoid antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution). Addition of 0.05% Tween 20 in the blocking buffer and primary antibody incubation buffer is recommended to aid in detection by Western blot.
for Goosecoid antibody (pAb)Buffer
Purified IgG in PBS with 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide.
for Goosecoid antibody (pAb)Positive Control
Active Motif's SW48 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36061) can be used as a positive control for Goosecoid antibody.
Goosecoid antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot.
Detection of Goosecoid by Western blot analysis. Lane 1: Nuclear extract of HT-29 cells (30 µg). Lane 2: Nuclear extract of SW48 cells (30 µg).
Both were probed with Goosecoid antibody (pAb) at a 1:500 dilution.
for Goosecoid antibody (pAb)Storage
Antibodies in solution can be stored at -20°C for 2 years. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
for Goosecoid antibody (pAb)Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of arrival.
