Applications

Application Notes
Applications Validated by Active Motif:
WB: 0.5 - 4 µg/ml dilution
Immunogen
This Kaiso antibody was raised against a His-Tagged fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 103-499 of mouse Kaiso.
Buffer
PBS containing 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
Kaiso mAb (Clone 6F1D) tested by Western blot.
Nuclear extract of CSML0 cells (20 µg) was probed with Kaiso mAb (Clone 6F1D) (1 µg/ml dilution).
Background
Kaiso (Clone 6F1D) is a zinc-finger transcription factor protein that binds to methylated and non-methylated GTGCNA motifs, and is also known as ZNF-Kaiso or ZBTB33. Kaiso interacts with the cell adhesion cofactor p120 catenin and may also recruit N-CoR repressor complex to promote histone deacetylation and repress transcriptional activity.
Positive Control
Nuclear extracts form CSML0 cells can be used as a positive control for Kaiso antibody (Clone 6F1D).
Storage
Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles by aliquoting items into single-use fractions for storage at -20°C for up to 2 years. Keep all reagents on ice when not in storage.
