For optimal results, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all blocking solutions may also reduce background. Individual optimization may be required.
This TRAF5 antibody was raised against a fusion protein corresponding to amino acid residues 77 to 186 of human TRAF5.

TRAF5 (TNF receptor-associated factor 5, RNF84) scaffold protein is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor (TRAF) protein family and contains a meprin and TRAF homology (MATH) domain, a RING-type zinc finger, and two TRAF-type zinc fingers. TRAF proteins are associated with, and mediate signal transduction from, members of the TNF receptor superfamily. TRAF5 is one of the components of a multiple protein complex that binds to tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor cytoplasmic domains and mediates TNF-induced activation. TRAF5 mediates activation of NFκB (NFκB p50 & NFκB p65) and probably JNK. It also appears to be involved in apoptosis.
Active Motif's HeLa nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36010) can be used as a positive control for TRAF5 antibody.
