This NKX2.5 antibody was raised against a peptide within the N-terminal region of human NKX2.5.

The NKX2.5 (NK2 homeobox 5, CSX, Homeobox protein CSX, NKX2E, Homeobox protein NK-2 homolog E, NK2 transcription factor related, locus 5, CHNG5, cardiac-specific homeobox 1) gene encodes a homeobox-containing transcription factor that functions in heart formation and development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Implicated in commitment to and/or differentiation of the myocardial lineage. Acts as a transcriptional activator of ANF in cooperation with GATA4. Also interacts with JARID2 which represses its ability to activate transcription of ANF.

Positive Control

Active Motif's Human Heart nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36041) can be used as a positive control for NKX2.5 antibody.
