for LexA DNA-binding Domain antibody (pAb)Background

LexA is a prokaryotic protein that normally functions to repress the expression of DNA-damage response genes. The LexA DNA binding domain is frequently used as an epitope tag or fused to the "bait" protein as part of the yeast two-hybrid protein interaction system.

for LexA DNA-binding Domain antibody (pAb)Application Notes

This LexA DNA-binding Domain antibody has been validated for use in Western blotting (1:25,000 - 1:100,000 dilution) using a LexA-Rb fusion and a LexA-PP2A, β subunit fusion expressed in budding yeast. It can also be used in immunoprecipitation (1 µl/ 200 µg lysate). Optimal dilution may need to be determined empirically by the user because detection is dependent on the expression level of the LexA-fusion protein of interest. The observed molecular weight of a fusion protein will be increased by approximately 24 kDa due to the addition of the LexA DNA binding domain.
