Each LightSwitch™ Synthetic miRNA Target Reporter construct contains an optimized synthetic target consisting of sequence repeats that are fully complementary to a variety of human and viral miRNAs. They provide a highly sensitive readout for miRNA functional activity, making them ideal positive control targets in miRNA target validation experiments, or to determine the levels of natural miRNA expression in your cell line.
LightSwitch Synthetic miRNA Target Reporters were designed to be co-transfected with our LightSwitch miRNA Mimics and Inhibitors to study the effects of over-expression of a miRNA, or to knock down the expression of endogenous human miRNAs in living cells.
IMPORTANT: Because all LightSwitch reporter constructs contain the optimized RenSP luciferase gene, you MUST use our LightSwitch Luciferase Assay Reagents to obtain optimal results. (Other luciferase assay reagents are not compatible with RenSP.)
