Immunogen

This Uhrf1 antibody was raised against a peptide corresponding to the N-terminal half of human Uhrf1.

Buffer

Rabbit serum containing 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.

Uhrf1 pAb tested by Western blot. HEK293 nuclear extract (20 µg per lane) was probed with Uhrf1 pAb (1:500).

Background

Uhrf1 (ubiquitin-like, containing PHD and RING finger domains 1, also known as ICBP90, RNF106 or NP95) is a transcription and cell cycle regulator. It functions as a putative E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. Uhrf1 is important for G1/S transition of the cell cycle. It is also believed that Uhrf1 may help recruit the DNA methyltransferase, DNMT1, to hemimethylated DNA and assist in the stabilization of DNMT1 with chromatin.

Positive Control

Active Motif's 293 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36033) can be used as a positive control for Uhrf1 antibody.

Storage

Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles by aliquoting items into single-use fractions for storage at -20°C for up to 2 years. Keep all reagents on ice when not in storage.
