Applications
Application Notes
Applications Validated by Active Motif:
WB: 1:5000-1:50000 dilution
IHC: 1:175-1:700 dilution
Immunogen
This antibody was raised against the NR3C1 fusion protein.
Buffer
Purified IgG in PBS, pH 7.3, with 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
NR3C1 antibody (rAb) tested by Western blot.
Detection of NR3C1 by Western blot analysis using various lysates and probed with NR3C1 antibody at 1:10000 dilution.
NR3C1 antibody (rAb) tested by Immunohistochemistry. NR3C1 antibody was used in IHC to stain human prostate cancer tissue at a 1:350 dilution under 10X lens (Panel A) and under 40X lens (Panel B). Heat me antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0).
Background
NR3C1 (Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 3, Group C, Member 1 (Glucocorticoid Receptor)) is a receptor for glucocorticoids (GC). Has a dual mode of action: as a transcription factor that binds to glucocorticoid response elements (GRE), both for nuclear and mitochondrial DNA, and as a modulator of other transcription factors. Affects inflammatory responses, cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. Could act as a coactivator for STAT5-dependent transcription upon growth hormone (GH) stimulation and could reveal an essential role of hepatic GR in the control of body growth. Involved in chromatin remodeling. Plays a significant role in transactivation.
