Background
H2BFWT (H2B histone family member W, testis specific) has been found in sperm nuclei and appears to be associated with the telomeric chromatin. In contrast to conventional H2B, H2BFWT is unable to recruit chromosome condensation factors and to participate in the assembly of mitotic chromosomes.
Application Notes
Recombinant histone H2BFWT is suitable for use as substrate for histone modification enzymes, or to generate chromatin in vitro.

Recombinant Histone H2BFWT (accession number NP_001002916.3) was expressed in E. coli cells as full length protein without any tag. The molecular weight of H2BFWT is about 19.5 kDa. The recombinant histone is >92% pure by SDS-PAGE.
