Immunogen
This XRCC6 (Ku70) antibody was raised against a peptide of human XRCC6 (Ku70).
Buffer
Purified IgG in 140 mM Hepes, pH 7.5, 70 mM NaCl, 32 mM NaOAc, 40% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.

40 µg of whole cell extracts were run on SDS-PAGE and probed with AbFlex Ku70 antibody at 0.1 µg/mL.

Ku70 was detected in human HeLa cells using AbFlex Ku70 (rAb) at 1 µg/mL, followed by Multi-rAb CoraLite® Plus 594-Goat AntiRabbit Recombinant Secondary Antibody (H+L).

ChIP was performed using ChIP-IT High Sensitivity Kit (Cat# 53040) with 25 µg of chromatin from HEK293 cells and 2 µg of antibody. ChIP DNA was sequenced on the Illumina NovaSeq and 14 million sequence tags were mapped to identify Ku70 binding sites. The image shows binding across a region of chromosome 7.
Background
AbFlex® antibodies are recombinant antibodies (rAbs) that have been generated using defined DNA sequences to produce highly specific, reproducible antibodies. Each AbFlex antibody contains a 6xHis Tag, a Biotinylation Tag for enzymatic biotin conjugation using the biotin ligase, BirA, and a sortase recognition motif (LPXTG) to attach a variety of labels directly to the antibody including fluorophores, enzymatic substrates (HRP, AP), peptides, drugs as well as solid supports.
AbFlex® XRCC6 (Ku70) antibody was expressed as full-length IgG with rabbit immunoglobulin heavy and light chains in mammalian HEK293 cells.
XRCC6 (X-ray repair cross complementing 6, also know as ML8, KU70, TLAA, CTC75, CTCBF, G22P1) is a single stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. It forms a heterodimer with Ku80 and plays a key role in DNA nonhomologous end joining (NHEJ) by recruiting DNA-PK to DNA.
