“We used the AM ChIP-Seq service for a precious, low cell count, sample. We had genome-edited human endothelial cells to introduce a 300-bp insertion in chr14, and wanted to identify binding sites for the NF-KappaB transcription factor in the presence of this insertion. The AM team managed to produce >2,000 such sites using our limiting material, and the data aligned nicely with known peaks from non-edited endothelial cells. From the same cells the AM team also managed to perform ChIP-Seq for p300, which allowed us to discriminate between active and inactive NF-kappaB-bound enhancers. In the end, this data contributed to our work on the non-canonical binding modes of NF- kappaB during the immediate-early inflammatory response, and led to a publication in Genome Research (Kolovos et al, Genome Res, 2016).”

“We worked with Active Motif to process some FFPE and frozen liver samples sourced from 25+year old samples for an RRBS assay. The overall process of submitting samples, communicating with Active Motif, receiving the data, and obtaining the summary was quick and painless. The whole operation was smooth and professionally done.  The data itself gave us confidence in using FFPE-sourced samples to assess DNA methylation using the RRBS method. While both frozen and FFPE samples were rather old, we received usable data, giving us confidence that FFPE is a viable option when determining genome-wide methylation levels in our archived samples.”
