Also available as an AbFlex® engineered recombinant antibody. For details on the corresponding AbFlex Recombinant Antibody, see Catalog No. 91245.
This Rad21 antibody was raised against recombinant protein corresponding to the N-terminal half of mouse Rad21.
Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris (pH 8), 105 mM NaCl, 31 mM glycine, 0.07 mM EDTA, 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
Rad21 Clone 52A311 (HR21, MCD1, NXP1, hHR21) is highly similar to the gene product of S. pombe Rad21, a gene involved in the repair of DNA double-strand breaks, as well as in chromatid cohesion during mitosis. Rad21 is a nuclear phospho-protein, which becomes hyperphosphorylated in cell cycle M phase. The highly regulated association of Rad21 with mitotic chromatin specifically at the centromere region suggests its role in sister chromatid cohesion in mitotic cells.
Active Motif's HeLa nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36010) can be used as a positive control for Rad21 antibody (Clone 52A311).
