Application Notes

Validated Applications:
WB: 1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution

This SMRT / NCoR2 antibody was raised against a peptide within the N-terminal region of SMRT / NCoR2.

Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris (pH 8), 105 mM NaCl, 31 mM glycine, 0.07 mM EDTA, 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.

SMRT / NCoR2 antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot.

SMRT / NCoR2 antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot.
Whole cell extract of HeLa cells (40 µg per lane) probed with SMRT / NCoR2 antibody (pAb) (1:500 dilution).

SMRT / NCoR2 (Silencing Mediator of Retinoic acid and Thyroid hormone receptor, Nuclear receptor CoRepressor 2, SMAP270, CTG26) is a co-repressor of transcription that associates with a subset of nuclear receptors including RAR, PR, GR and TR in the absence of ligand. It is part of a large co-repressor protein complex that includes SIN3A/B and histone deacetylases HDAC1 and HDAC2.

Positive Control

Active Motif's HeLa whole-cell extract (Catalog No. 40050) can be used as a positive control for SMRT / NCoR2 antibody.

Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Upon receipt, unconjugated antibodies may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 years. Fluorophore- & enzyme-conjugated antibodies should be stored at 4°C. Fluorophore-conjugated antibodies should be protected from light. Keep reagents on ice when not in storage; to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting items that will be stored frozen into single-use fractions prior to freezing.

This product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt.
